I live in south eastern British Columbia and this photo of clear cutting in the beautiful Queen Charlotte Islands is heartbreaking. Yes, humans have the tools and capacity to destroy but how can we use technology to make an emotional connection to our natural world? Selective tree farming is one more civilized way. Perhaps more forest education on mass media?
