If an equation was possible here, then good writing is appreciated by good readers who understand the expertise in creating and delivering good content. If the readers are more interested in pulp content then they read "junk food" equivalence. Perhaps it's a sign of a demoralizing culture. I agree writing is not fun...it is hard work dissecting every sentence and word denotation...even writing a children's book.
